WEC Fabrication holds a wide range of industry-recognised accreditations that demonstrate our commitment to quality, safety, and environmental responsibility. These include ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management, ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management, and ISO 45001 for Occupational Health & Safety.

We are also accredited to ISO 3834 for Fusion Welding, EN 15085 for aluminium welding on rail vehicles, and BS/EN 1090 up to Execution Class 4 for structural steel fabrication.

We hold procedures to BS 15614-1 & qualifications to ISO 9606-1 and also ASME equivalents. We are also accredited to BS EN 1090-2, ISO 3834 & AWS D1.1

WEC Fabrication is accredited to WFCS/ISO 3834, independently verifying compliance with international welding quality requirements. This certification confirms our welding competence and gives customers confidence in consistent, high-quality fabrication.

CAESAS/BS EN 1090

WEC Fabrication is accredited to CAESAS/BS EN 1090, independently verifying compliance with standards for steel and aluminium structures. This certification confirms our welding and fabrication ability while ensuring products meet legal requirements for CR & UKCA marking

EN 15085 Rail Rolling Stock

Welding Inspection

Our in-house welding inspectors carry out rigorous visual and dimensional checks at every stage of the fabrication process to ensure weld quality meets both customer specifications and international standards.

Welding Codings

All our welders are fully coded to industry-recognised standards such as ASME IX, BS EN ISO 9606, and BS EN 287, ensuring consistently high-quality workmanship across MIG, TIG, and MMA processes.

Apprenticeships are at the heart of our continued growth and success. Through the WEC Group Training Academy, the only one of its kind in the UK, we’re investing in the future of the industry. As a member of The AWFTE (Association of Welding & Fabrication Training & Education) and a certified TWI (The Welding Institute) welder training centre, we’re committed to creating world-class engineers.

Since 2006, over 200 apprentices have passed through our doors, gaining hands-on experience and achieving the qualifications necessary to carve out successful careers in engineering. Our advanced five-year apprenticeships in welding/fabrication, CNC machining, and laser cutting/press brake operating are designed to ensure that our workforce stays at the cutting edge of industry techniques.
