Profile Cutting

At WEC Fabrication, we specialise in precision laser profiling of flat sheets, tubes, and box sections. Our tube cutting machines operate around the clock, producing parts up to 6.5 metres in length and handling diameters up to 240mm with 12mm wall thickness. We can also process a wide variety of open profiles, including angle and channel sections.

This allows us to offer high-quality subcontract cutting for complex components. Our expertise ensures fast turnaround times without compromising accuracy or finish.

Our Capacity

Over the past few years, WEC Laser has grown into the UK’s largest laser profiling company with over 23 laser cutting machines. We’ve invested over £5m over the past 4 years to upgrade all our lasers to the very latest fibre lasers and increase our laser cutting capacity, including 2 x 24kw fibre lasers from Trumpf, the most powerful and accurate Lasers currently available which have increased our overall cutting capacity by over 30% and allowed us to massively reduce our leadtimes.

Our facility is home to over 20 flat-bed fibre lasers and 4 tube lasers, capable of processing parts up to 6.5 metres long and 240mm in diameter. We also operate 24 press brakes, advanced CNC machinery, and in-house fabrication and powder coating lines. Recent investments include two cutting-edge Trumpf 24kw Fibre lasers, the first of their kind in the North of England, boosting capacity and reducing lead times. A fleet of 18-ton curtain sider lorries allows us to deliver nationwide efficiently. Continuous re-investment in technology ensures we remain at the forefront of laser cutting and sheet metal fabrication.
