Combustion Exhaust Lined Duct

What is it?

Combustion Exhaust Lined Duct

What does it do?

The duct forms part of a combustion exhaust system for an aerospace application. It is designed to support the safe and effective movement of exhaust gases through the system.

Who did we make it for?

The project was manufactured for a valued customer within the aerospace sector.

How did we make it?

WEC Fabrication manufactured the duct in 12 separate sections, which together create an overall length of 25 metres.

The project required careful planning, skilled fabrication and close coordination throughout the manufacturing process due to the scale of the duct, which measured approximately 4.62 metres in diameter.

Each section was fabricated using a carbon steel exterior with a perforated stainless steel inner, before being prepared for dispatch to site.

What materials were used?

The duct was manufactured using a carbon steel exterior and a perforated stainless steel inner.

How long did it take to make?

The project took 16 weeks to manufacture.
