WEC Rail is a specialist division of the WEC Group priding itself on its commitment to progress within the rail sector and expertise in specialist welding, metal fabrication and installation services for rail specific products such as signal structures, gantries, electrical enclosures and pedestrian bridges.

Extensive on-going investments have resulted in impressive in-house facilities and capacity which enables WEC Rail to keep as much work in-house as possible. The company employs a highly skilled design team, expert fabrication team and PTS trained installation team eliminating the need for external contractors and thereby ensuring all works are completed to WEC Rail standards, with reliable lead times and at competitive prices. WEC Rail has untapped access to WEC Groups comprehensive range of in-house facilities which includes access to specialist procedures including laser cutting, waterjet cutting and precision machining. The combination of these expert employees and on-site specialist facilities enables WEC Rail to provide a design to installation service carried out at one site at a consistently high standard.

Working with market leading companies such as Corus Rail, Atkins and Balfour Beatty, WEC Rail lays claim to many impressive rail structures spanning much of England and Wales including signal posts, cantilevers, gantries and bridges. Further demonstrating its commitment to the industry, since 2006 WEC Rail has participated heavily in the Governments Department for Transport (DfT) 'Access for All' programme, which demands innovative design skills and expert fabricators to develop rail bridges which are accessible to any and all pedestrians who wish to use them, such people include the young, the elderly and those travelling with a lot of baggage.
