Large Fabrication
Welding Engineering has over 25 years experience in handling large fabrications, regularly dealing with projects from 3 tonnes to 130 tonnes, such as heat exchangers, rail gantries and bridges.
Our facilities comprise two bays; 55m long x 25m across, with a working height of 7.5m under 5 runway cranes.
With an in-house design team utilising the latest software, we can provide support for any project from concept to completion. We also provide an installation service, with CSCS qualified installers and PTS qualified installers.
We handle many materials including stainless steel, Duplex and mild steel at various grades. Multi-coded welding is utilised on the majority of projects, with delivery of the final piece organised and despatched by our reliable and professional network of transport partners.

We are currently working on the fabrication of a cooling coil, part of a complicated cooling system for making steel. At 26 tonnes, 9m long, 6m wide and 5.5m diameter, the job requires over 9 kilometres of welding!
Currently working for a customer in the aerospace industry, we secured the job to manufacture a number of diffusers for testing jet engines. At 35m long, 8m wide and 6m diameter, the diffuser weighs approximately 126 tonnes.
